We left Portland without incident and had a smooth ride to our next camp. We chose to head along the Oregon Coast as we are both eager to finally touch the Pacific Ocean.
We arrived to find a seven mile long, small oceanfront community. The campground is across the street from the beach! It’s well kept but the sites are super skinny, meaning we can’t fully extent our awning or really hangout outside. The weather is chilly and rainy so we won’t be hanging there anyway. They gave us a $4 coupon for a restaurant nearby so went there for dinner. The pics above was our view, even from the loo! How awesome is that?!
Got up early and worked. For my lunch we stayed in the camper. I ate homemade curry chicken salad with crackers and fresh tommy toes. Joe went for a chicken breast sandwich with fancy mustard and habanero pickles. To each his own. We went for a nice long walk on the beach when the rain ceased for a bit. Apache LOVES the beach but he’s starting this annoying habit of trying to be alpha over other dogs. He molested a good natured male dog much to our chagrin. He doesn’t bite, just growls ever so softly and tries to put his body over theirs. We’ve had a few run ins–it’s usually only with male dogs that are close to his size. Any suggestions?
The beach was amazing! Who isn’t enamored with the sounds and scents of a beach? The seaweed is much cooler over here–at first I thought we were being invaded by sea monsters. We even saw SEALS! Hate we couldn’t get closer to them. It was lovely.
