Camp #18, Casper Beach RV Park Site #33, Mendocino, California

The trip down Highway 1 is one of those once in a lifetime experiences.  It’s a tiny, windy, two lane highway that snakes along the California Coast. Poor Joe navigated the road with the camper, part of the road was even falling INTO the Pacific Ocean.  No where to turn around….we were committed!  Joe is so brave, I have a whole new appreciation for this wonderful man I get to hang with each day.  He took us places I never dreamed we could fit into and did it with gusto!

Check out Highway 1–can’t hug the coast any closer.  Yes, baby—let the 70’s tune roll us on!!

There’s something about winding your way SLOWLY (35 mph most of the time) down the coastal highway, listening to tunes, with your baby by your side, your pup in the back, and 70’s music lulling us along.  This is the reason we came…these are the moments we will remember for the rest of our life.  It brings tears to my eyes.  SO thankful

Joe found these amazing bluffs while I had a meeting in the nearby McDonalds parking lot (wifi and cell service sux along the coast).  He came back to the truck practically bouncing with excitement.  Don’t get breaks like this in Beckley, WV!

We only stayed one day here, we worry about finding a camp near Oakland during Thanksgiving.  Joe has tix to the Raiders on Nov. 26 so we will head south and leave the coast.  We’ve decided to continue down Highway 1, the view is worth the danger, or is it?  Tune in to see.
