We drove a pleasant two and half hours southwest to Paso Robles, passing olive and orange trees. We planned just to stay one night but concerns about the wildfires now blazing just south of us has us thinking we may stay longer.
This campground is super nice and it’s the off season so there is plenty of space and Wi-Fi to be had.

We nosed around some nearby wineries. There are literally dozens right around this RV park. 🙂

I show the pic below to illustrate Joe’s parking skills–lol. Our truck is so long thanks to the 8 foot bed we need to haul the motorcycle. Parking is a challenge every time, especially in the small coastal towns where the parking slots are likewise small. This is one thing neither of us will miss once we get home and trade that puppy.

This was a busy day for me workwise so Joe enjoyed a trip to the nearby coastal town on Cambria, CA. He returned home all relaxed & docile, a happy husband makes for a happy marriage 🙂

While Joe rode, I enjoyed a serenade from the RV next door as he played his banjo for his wife. So sweet and relaxing. Hope you can hear it…
Later, Joe made us some yummy chicken while I cooked up brocolini and couscous. Paired with wine, of course 🙂
Another beautiful sunset for the books. This tree reminds us of the Tree of Life we have hanging in our dining room back home in WV. We changed into our bathing suits and headed over to the Jacuzzi for some wine and bubbles. A great day.
The wildfires are still raging with no end in sight. We’ve extended our stay til Monday when we hope to make our way to Long Beach to see my uncles. Thoughts are with those in harm’s way.
