We had hoped to make it to Texas but Joe's back was hurting too badly. After several hours, we stopped along I-10 at the Hacienda. Joe went to bed and I am finally felling well enough and have the time to update the blog.

Camp #25 Tuscon/LazyDays KOA Site # 1470, Tucson, Arizona
We had a nice, easy ride to Tucson, I'm slightly obsessed with the local cactus all along the highway. Here we found our best campground yet. It has everything. Each site has a it's own lemon, orange, or grapefruit tree. Tons of activities and a restaurant on site! We enjoyed a much needed rest, catching up …

Camp #24 Arizona Oasis RV Resort Site #126 Ehrenberg, Arizona
We had an easy trip to our next stop. We passed Palm Springs wishing we could stop but moving on. I am fascinated by windmills and was thrilled to see this . Channeling more 70's music, we entered Arizona with the winds picking up. We'll need to stay a few days to avoid the 40 …

Camp #23 Newport Dunes Site #2315, Newport Beach, CA
I had a few meetings first thing then we headed down the 5 to the 405 and the 710 to Long Beach. It took more than 2 hours, even though it should've taken one hour. Not a fan of big city traffic, how does one accomplish anything around here?? By the way, I've been told …

Camp #22 Valencia Travel Village Site A3, Castaic, CA
We traveled a few hours south, passing almond and pistachio farms, Pyramid Lake, and what looks to be oil fields. My Uncle Vin said they are called grasshoppers. We stayed just for the night, we're close to Long Beach which is on the other side (essentially) from Los Angeles, about an hour from here in normal …

Camp #21 Wine Country RV Resort Site #197, Paso Robles, California
We drove a pleasant two and half hours southwest to Paso Robles, passing olive and orange trees. We planned just to stay one night but concerns about the wildfires now blazing just south of us has us thinking we may stay longer. This campground is super nice and it's the off season so there …

Camp #20 Los Banos KOA, Los Banos, Califonia Site #56
Said Goodbye hurriedly as we tried to beat the forecasted winds. We got about 2.5 hours and decided to stop and let the winds do their thing. I have a couple of meetings early and then we will make our way further south toward Santa Barbara, where we have comedy tickets this Sunday. Apache helped …

San Francisco–squeezing a little more
The weather is beautiful so we rationalized that as a reason to extend our stay in Wonderland another week. 🙂 The Castro Everyone says to hit The Castro at night so we took the ferry over one night after work. We donned our warm lids, mine from SF's Little Italy and Joe's from a long ago …
San Francisco and Oakland continued
Thanksgiving Day We had a low key day turkey day. The weather was beautiful so Joe suggested a little trail walking to get Apache some exercise. It was nice and relaxing and we saw some interesting flora. Biggest pine cone I've ever seen. Back to the camper for our mini meal. It all turned out …
Madame Tussauds, San Francisco
Madame Tussauds The road home was diverse and accepting. GO SF! Once we got home, we did some last minute shopping for Thanksgiving and put the Turkey breast in. Fingers crossed this propane oven does the trick!
