We rolled into this park exhausted and ready to stay for a while. No moving for two weeks thank goodness.
Before we move on…I found these last two memories from our time on the Northern California coast.

We are perfectly placed in between Oakland and San Francisco. We are 10 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, a 15 minute walk from the Larkspur Ferry into San Francisco’s Ferry Building, and 16 miles from Oakland.
There is an abandoned railroad line behind the park where we can walk Apache. It’s very pretty and is right next to a huge bird sanctuary, looks over the bay and what turned out to be San Quentin. lol
We took the ferry into San Francisco and began exploring.
I LOVE THIS CITY!! I’ve got a little pep in my step, a little lead in my pencil. Woot woot, WE ARE IN SAN FRANCISCO BABY….
Once we figured out the Clipper Cards, it was on. The city is our oyster!

Joe has a goal to hit all the Chinatown’s in America and we’ve hit a few but this one is, BY FAR, our favorite. The monkeys below are special to our relationship so we had to get a few pics with them. The murals around the city are beautiful, we managed to catch one in progress. 🙂
A little drinkie poo as we head into the Business District and away from Chinatown.

We met a very nice lady (and my new Facebook friend) on the ferry coming back from SF the night before. She consulted her daughter who lives in Oakland and suggested we watch Sunday’s Raider game at a place on the water called The Plank. It was another beautiful place.
Headed back to San Francisco. Seriously cannot get enough of this city…
Adorable Sea Lions
Another day we headed into San Francisco on Joe’s motorcycle. OMG, what an experience. We had a warm spell of temps in the upper 60’s. I worked a while and Joe went into the city solo and scoped out the bridge and such. He came back to get me in the afternoon and off we went!

We enjoyed the upper part of Fisherman’s Wharf. Ever heard of Boudin Bakery? Yes, please.
Not sure why cops were on dirt bikes, but it was cool to watch….
As the sun set we headed out of town. We love being so close to the city, it’s only a 30 minute jaunt depending on the time of day. That’s still weird for us….it took us 30 minutes to get here and took an hour to get back because it’s 4:30pm. Ugh–city dwellers have their burdens too.
Here we go…hang on!!!

Love your poncho/sweater!
